The Boxcar Children

Ever since I was a kid, I've had a thing for mystery series. In the 8th grade, I think I went through every book in the Agatha Christie-Hercule Poirot collection; then in high school, it was Laurie R. King's Sherlock Holmes-Mary Russell series.

But it all started in the 2nd grade with The Boxcar Children and these awesome book covers:

  1. I loved The Boxcar Children books! The first was my favorite because they were living so self-sufficiently in that boxcar in the woods. I had dreams that I could live on my own and use the river as a refridgerator!

  3. I liked the BCC up until Benny was held hostage by that evil woman who made him wash dishes. But Hercule Poirot was always great. It's a shame how Agetha Christie has been shit on by so many people in the literary community.
